A demand from corporate travellers to Zimbabwe has led to a new same day return airline service between Harare and Johannesburg from August. "In spite of the collapse of Zimbabwe's currency, business is being carried out and there is a demand from corporate travellers for this additional direct scheduled Harare flight," said Karin Murray, Airlink marketing manager. From August, the airline will operate a daily, same day return route to Harare with a business class option on weekday flights. It currently flies on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Airline commercial director Barrie Webb (CORR) said: "We've been flying to Bulawayo for about five years and despite the political upheaval, business travel has maintained a steady flow." The airline had also started flying same day return flights to Lusaka, Zambia on weekdays and Sundays. Webb said most domestic routes were oversupplied with immediate growth seen in Africa.
