Just a survey to check the schedule amongst Biz jet drivers.

Gold Air is 6 on 3 off. Any others?

Chauffair run it differently - you are effectively on stby 24hrs a day 365 days a year, BUT in principle you can take whatever time off you want when you want as long as the ops have crew coverage. We operate iaw JAA rules ie 1in7 and 2in14 off, but do not have a roster - it may change in the future.

In practice you fly around somewhere between 10-15 days a month, and as the pay structure includes an element around the no of days you fly, you don't end up taking too much time off!! roughly a 4-5 weeks leave a year, some keenies think a week in 2 years is sufficient!!

Hope it helps

I presume the 9 in 28 rule doesn't count for much at Chauffair then. Or is JAA that different from CAA?

Thanks all!

I'm unfamiliar with those JAR rules, is there a simple explanation how that works?

dear collegues
Capt on airlainer B737,
I am not familiar with the biz roster,
6 on, 5 off
in your 6 on, do you fly every day?
or can you have some stand-by days?
what is the average of flight hours monthly?
thanhs
