With all the talk, hype if you like, of reducing entrance minimums to RPT/Airline operators. I would like to know whether it is or will have an effect on CRM.
How are the Captains out there, that have done the hard yards, dealing with the fact that people are getting into the show without as much experience?

I guess I ask the question as I am gearing up to apply to Airlines soon after many years of living/flying in the bush ect, and would like to know what the general feeling is.

If you get in without doing THY, good luck to you.

I wouldn't have thought it would become an interpersonal issue on the flight deck.

I take all the new recruits, (and there's plenty) as I find them. The modern flightdeck is no place for predudice, and I think most reasonable people would feel the same.

If they're not up to scratch however, that's a different story. The lowering of minimums is one thing, but if you can't train 'em, check em', or promote em', then what's the point.

Time will tell I guess?
