First PPrune Post:

I've approved to leave the active duty USAF, and been invited to a CX initial interview.

Any US West Coast CX freight guys on here to give me a day in the life/what to expect rundown?

(Not counting my chicks before they hatch, I understand it's a tough hiring process)

Thanks in advance . . .

probably fly two five day trips a month. LAX ANC layover ANC HKG layover and then back. Sometimes you may got through SFO or YVR or sometimes not beyond ANC.
Rosters are built for you (no bidding) and you may also get some Available days which is 10 hour callout (usually never used on A day)
You will get 42 days of vacation a year and you get to take it in the year it accrues (ie vacation in first year)

Although you can take vacation in the first calender year of employment, there is an embargo on new joiner vacation. You have to wait until 1 month after completing the induction course to take any leave. The good thing is, unused leave carries over and you might wind up with 9 or more weeks to take in the second year.

Mayday.
