Im young and just finished all ATPL exams and have the necessary experience.

Im am really enthusiastic about living in the middle east out of etihad and emirates which one would better suit someone like myself. i am very keen about living dubai however the job is also important im not fussy and do not mind the hours as quite frankly at the moment do not want to stop flying.
any help would be greatly appreciated thank you flt777

So, you've just finished your ATPL exams, and have 4000hrs inclusive of substantial Jet experience?

Try again...

And whilst you're at it, knowledge of CAPITALs, Full Stops..... and basic sentence structure will be an advantage once you actually do have the required experience.

Young man, you will always find opposing views between EK and EY here in PPrune. I suggest that you apply first, attend the interviews, take a look at both and decide which airline suits you best (that is if you PASS their selection process!). :ugh:

Thanks for your help Mr Frodo, funily enough got an email from EK this morning stating the go ahead for my interview, so am off to that in a couple of weeks, and for Mr, Wizofox I guess "i just finished my exams" was a bit missleading and you are correct in saying try again. Nevertheless in the next year I will have the neccessary hours to be applicable. However during the last couple of years I have begun to notice that are a few  in aviation who are..... quite frankly Mr know it alls... it's a shame about ppl like you with so many good people in the industry o well I guess you have to take the good with the bad. hope to see you around. FLT777

PS. Hope my grammer is up to par now :ugh:

Hope my grammer is up to par now Sorry mate, I know I’m being totally anal, but I just can't resist... Your grammar still needs a bit of work. For instance, try a period after ‘Mr Frodo’ and again after 'now'.

As for your spelling – use a spell checker when you send in your application to whatever airline your choose to join, because ‘funily’ enough, I too found your first post ‘missleading’, as it didn’t give a reader who might like to take the time to answer your question the ‘neccessary’ information as to your experience.

Mr Wiley

Fair play to you I think you should be a teacher instead of an aviator, sounds like you would suit that type of job far more, especially if being anal is your area of speciality. The world doesn’t have time for arrogant pricks like you. Just because you can copy and paste my post into word then pick out the errors geez mate sounds like you need to get a life. Looks like I made a huge mistake trying to use pprune, so far out of three replies two are just people with way to much time on their hands trying to stir people up. o well like I said, I wouldn't imagine you had a large amount of friends, might explain why on a Saturday night you sit at home and watch 70's movies with your rum and coke... grow up mate try and be useful every once and again. :ugh:

PS. Maybe you and Mr Wizofoz should get together sometime... <3

Sorry but I can't resist, you said got an email from EK this morning stating the go ahead for my interview Then you said Nevertheless in the next year I will have the neccessary hours to be applicable. So do you have the 4000hrs or not? Do you even have an ATPL? Sounds like BS. If you are going to tell porkies you need to at least be aware of the regulations/requirements.

Mr WileyHe can't write or spell for sh-one-t, but at least he's a polite little chap.

FLT777, if you're going to bang off a post as sloppily written and confusing as your first one asking for information about a job, expect a 'bita' flak. With still "a year to go" to get the minimum hours required, what job did EK ask you apply for? Flight Attendant?

Can I join in?
FLT777 it seems as if you may have issues, anger management issues.
Before going to any interviews I hope you can get you angry temper under control. It is common practise for interviewers to try and russle your feathers to see how you behave, or if you bight. Learn to answer politely even if it needs more explaination. Just don't bite their head off.

I'm worried that someone can't take a little bunter, without going psycho.
If my grammar, punctuation is incorrect i apologise now. It is well past my bed time, and I come from a land down under.

Keep smiling and keep the blue side up. :ok:

Oh and to answer your original question, I have no idea, I don't work for either. Good Luck with the decision making and when you have figured out which is best let us all know, I'm sure there are others interested.

Flt777,

How did you get the interview before having the required hours? Just curious, what are you flying now?

it's a shame about ppl like you

arrogant pricks like you.

Actually Flt777,if you are what you claim (which I doubt reading the yawning inconsistencies in your posts) "PPL" like me and Mr Wiley will be the ones:-

a) assessing you in an interview

b) Training, recommending and checking you during your initial appointment

c) Flying as your commander all over the world

So lowering your tone might be in order.

As for my suggestion regarding your written English, it was sincere. The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing is vital to an aviation
career. Jumping up and down at the first sign of criticism is defiantly not!!

I suspect Mr Wiley and ARE together, at least professionally. You are not showing signs of being likely to join us!!

Man I can't believe this. This young guy is just showing some interest and trying to have a good time looking forward to his career. All you guys can do is pick on him.

Man this guy is a d!ck!!

Don't worry FLT777, this guy is an exception. Most people have a genuine interest in seeing you succeed and will help out in any way they can. Don't let him bother you.

By the way Wizofoz, I think it should read "Mr Wiley and I will be the ones."

airbus,

Suggesting this guy think twice about insulting people who may influence whether he gets a job or not, whilst suggesting he learn to string two sentences together IS helping him.

He fired up when it was suggested to him what he had written didn't make sense- you seem to have a similar temper.

SIC- Guilty as charged (as you may have suspected!!)

Oh yeah I have the temper. The kid is just trying to have some fun and all you can do pick on him. Who cares how he types on a forum? He's probably playing three games and texting four others while contributing to the prune. I stand by my statement...you are a d!ck!!

Get used to it... you have known it for years.

True enough, but I've managed to relax and come to terms with it:rolleyes:

I think this is a disgrace …. A bunch of ex bush pilots who managed to get the left seat somehow, and looser F/O’s who will might not see the above mentioned one in foreseeable future are being arrogant with a guy who is just asking a simple question…Just look couple years back and see yourself in his situation ….just a grammar and acceptably structured sentences ……God bless EK if something really depends on you…

Cheers

Errr,

Regulars dealt remarkably politely with a total Walt.

Defenders of said tosseur probably didn't realise the were dealing with a sad fantacist because they don't have the gumption to click on Mitty junior's name, click on 'previous posts' and in seconds see just where Ace Brannigan was in his flying career as of October last year.

Jeez, he must be racking in those hours for next year.

Don't assume - things are often not what they seem - check before blindly leaping in to defend. Those with common sense and experience know exactly who is looking stupid on this thread.:E :E :ok:

Expect that Wizofoz scared him off.

The harrowing experience of parrying with the leading light of Emirates Recruiting, Training and Checking departments (see post no. 9) must have sent him scurrying for cover.

Remarkable career progression at Emirates for Wizofoz who joined EK not much more than 5 minutes ago.

Our young friend lists his birthdate as 10 September 1989. Sad that he's resorted to BS so early in his career. Sent to the cooler & this thread binned as a sinking monument of his juvenile deceit.
