What do you do while waiting for your Security Clearance?

Do you sit a hotel for months in Delhi while waiting for it?

Also, what kind of Security Clearance do the Indians do?

Your not an Indian national so you won't be in any Indian databases, so what can they really do?

Also, are you able to get a security clearance even before you get there ? since it looks like it will take months.

without that pice of paper, NO visa
so sit back @ home & wait

the only thing you might have to wait for 2 o 3 weeks
could be the validation of your licence
mine took 3 weeks

& yes waiting in a 5 star hotel......actually 3 star or asterisc

Abandoning a sinking ship? Ben M who came in with him is also departing.

Air Deccan COO leaving to join Indonesia's Mandala Leithen Francis, Singapore (16May07, 02:53 GMT) Air Deccan’s number two executive, Warwick Brady, is leaving to head up Indonesia’s Mandala Airlines in a top-level management departure that comes at a time when the Indian low-cost carrier is seeking to raise cash to keep its fleet expansion on track.
Several well-placed industry sources say chief operating officer Brady is leaving Air Deccan at the end of this month to be the new head of Jakarta-based low-cost carrier Mandala Airlines.
Other executives from Air Deccan will be joining him, add the sources.
Brady joined Air Deccan as the Bangalore-based chief operating officer in September 2005 and prior to that was head of Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair’s operations at London Stansted airport.
Mandala early last year underwent an ownership change in which Indonesian ground services and transportation conglomerate Cardig International bought the airline outright from the Indonesian military. Later that year it sold a 49% stake to US-based investment company Indigo Partners which also has a sizeable minority stake in Singapore-based low-cost carrier Tiger Airways.
Since the takeover Mandala has started a re-fleeting programme in which it has received Airbus A320s on lease and is looking to phase out its Boeing 737-200s.
Air Deccan, which recently reported a net loss of Rs2.13 billion ($52 million) for the January-March quarter, is currently seeking to do another round of cash-raising, this time to the tune of $50-100 million, according to a statement it released on 15 May to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The fast-growing low-cost carrier is also seen by some as a takeover target. Full-service carrier Kingfisher Airlines’ chairman and CEO, Vijay Mallya, said earlier this month that he is interested in acquiring Air Deccan but Air Deccan’s CEO, Capt G R Gopinath, said there was “absolutely” no chance of a deal going through and that a combination of the two airlines would make no sense.
Brady declined to comment when contacted by ATI.

Air Deccan is taking Expats who can sponsor their TR and Living and Allowing them to build hours from the right seat. This is with indian P1s or a Indian CPL Trainee on the jumpseat (ofcourse which happens everywhere).

Pushpak ...
You'd need 2500 hours with about 1500 in the company and an ALTP to upgrade to Left seat in most airlines in india.. DKN inclusive.

KF and DN are gonna operate as seperate entities only the Engineering / Maintainence / Airport Services will be shared. Mallya has promised to introduce FREE bottled water (the non alchohol non aerated types :hmm:) on board Air Deccan and maybe shift pax of snagged flights across on both directions.
