There is a lot of talk about jobs flying Cessnas, King Airs etc, are there many jobs about in Botswanna flying the AN-2?

No, avgas is often a problem in Africa so they tend not to find there way down south, 206`s etc tend to come from SA. There was two in DRC, but that was a year ago.

Also, burning 200 litres an hour at the price the stuff goes for while doing 90 knots is not conducive to a profitable undertaking....

Good solid aircraft, but not an option for anyone other than an operator with other income looking for a hobby. You're not going to make much money with it.

If you donīt mind the DRC, AIR KASAI seems to oeprate quite a few out of Kinshasa, Kananga and so on...

I don't really like the sound of the DRC, is that the only place you find them then?

Sorry, canīt help you there. But here in the DRC they are always looking, quite a few are being operated here.
There used to be an AN-2 parked in Maun, Botswana, German reg., ex Lufthansa plane by the marking. Maybe someone else knows something about this one?

Just out of interest who is it that does all the training for the AN-12 and AN-26?
