Any hot tips or info on moving up to a turbo-prop or jet. I currently fly a Cessna 402B, TT 1100 350 Multi. My ultimate goal is the airlines but I would also be interested in Corporate work or Charter. I have made many contacts so I know it's just a matter of time but any info would be appreciated. By the way flying the 402 as single crew is great fun, hard work at times but worth it!

Slam no doors &
Knock on a lot of doors

I just kept on sending the letters/Cv's backed up with the occasional phone call etc.

A Story:
A guy went to easy jet with a present for the cheif pilot....inside the beautifully presented box was a shoe with a CV roled and incerted! The message read..."Just wanted to get my foot in the door!!"

Probably bo????s but a good story.

GOOD LUCK.

PS At least you can't be reffered to as 200Lbs of baggage!! ;)

just a couple of things, try to get into a two crew op asap. Too much single crew isn't great if you want to move on. Don't let any potential corporate employer know you want to go to the airlines!Do an MCC course, and don't believe that 402b will climb on one when its full of folks!
Good luck.

I'm with you on that one Chilli!

The one thing you don't want to do , is to put on your covering letter/CV somthing along the lines of "I have been doing blah blah blah, and now feel that I have the experience to further my carrer and make a positive contribution within an http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gifAIRLINE http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/redface.gif environment!!
