PRESS RELEASE

Project Propeller, the annual event that enables ex-WW2 aircrew to fly again,
is scheduled to be held at Bruntingthorpe Airfield on Saturday June 30th 2007.

The Project, now in its ninth year, involves private and professional pilots who
volunteer themselves and their aircraft to bring ex-WW2 aviators into the
gathering from all parts of the UK. Whenever possible, the airfield venue
changes each year. To date, venues have included North Weald, Duxford,
Kemble and Elvington.

On arrival, the pilots and the veterans are provided with refreshments,
entertained by a swing band, talked to by a well-known aviation personality
– over the years these have included Wing Commander Wallace, Alex
Henshaw, John Farley, Captain Eric (Winkle) Brown, Diana Barnato-Walker,
Raymond Baxter – and this year, Peter Twiss has agreed to be our guest
speaker.

Also this year, the BBMF will be flying over a Spitfire, the Lancaster and the
Hurricane. In addition, giant model aircraft will be displayed, a couple of
Lightnings will carry out demonstration taxi runs. And... a massive bonus for
2007 will be the arrival of up to 40 Tiger Moths returning from the weekend
Moth Rally.

Our annual attendance is usually around 100 aircraft bringing in some 250 –
300 veterans. More participants would be welcome – both pilots and veterans.

If you would like join us, please take a look at the Project Propeller web site,
