At work today whilst looking up Aircraft Manuals I noticed that the Qantas Intranet Home page background colour has changed from the usual red to an ugly shade of orange not too dissimilar to Jetstar's.

Now someone tried to tell me that it's because this is the colour the company is using to promote "Safety Week".

Am I being too much of a conspiracy theorist or is it just a coincidence.

The orange colour reflects...... the colour of the 36,0000 once loyal employees who have had a nauseous:yuk: feeling for 5 months whilst undergoing the "water torture" of the APA bid.

The sooner this bloody deal is over one way or another the better.

................enough is enough.

I'm sick and tired of all the media crap and Qantas spin.

Lets just get on with being a frig'n Airline again( minus the Teletubbies)....ca - va???

When I saw the title I though......HAHAHA:} Jetstar has got you in a far more subtle way than you ever thought possible.

Seems you thought of that too:E

Maybe they are APA colours for the new ochre rat?:E

Spy, you need to consider yourself lucky that it's just the intranet that you've noticed. At sign on the other day the whole office was festooned with orange streamers, balloons, etc, etc. There was so much around it was almost a hazard for those who are taller than me (well, everyone really!) because they'd lynch themselves on the streamers.

Given that it was safety week I thought it ironic then that the poor old S/O almost did his back lifting his bag into the bus, then cut his finger on the flight deck and almost tripped over in the thumping rain at destination! :E :ok: Almost as ironic really as the 'safety bears' from last year (or was it the year before) that they gave out that then had to be followed up with a memo stating what a choking risk they were for young kids at home who somewhat naturally wanted to play with them! :}

Lol yeah except I thought it was an Orange foam plane that they handed out as part of last years Safety week, that had to be recalled because of a choking hazard. lol no idea those morons. And I still remember the story that some guy was wearing the safety week glasses handed out to some staff, and when he got hit by a rock while mowing they smashed and cut his eye, lol!

lol means "laugh out loud".

When I read the title I thought it was a nice welcome back for the 737 crews that had been seconded to easyJet. :ok:

Is it for safety weak !

Shouldn't safety be for more than one week a year?

ROFL. It definitely wasn't mine CL. Most people can't believe that I can pack so much into such a little bag for a nine day trip...and it still comes in at just 15kg! :}
