I recently came across a company who amongst other things carried out organ/transplant flights for the medical services and conducted wildlife and pipeline surveys. This is the kind of flying I am really interested in doing in the future. I am currently FAA PPL & IR, JAA PPL and studying for ATPLs and hope to hour build in the states after they are finished.
The company mentioned had the use of their own flying instructors who tended to hour build for the airlines. Any suggestions as to the best way to get into this kind of flying as a more permanent move? Get an Instructors rating and gain hours instructing or use the money to build up multi time? I have no desire to head towards the airlines and would be happy in small twins carrying out a variety of work. Do you know what kind of requirements similar companies might have in terms of hours and experience?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
