Has anyone been on a second interview recently?

Looking for a rough breakdown from anyone who went on a second interview in HK lately; i.e., schedule, any time for sightseeing, etc.

The interview itself is over 2 days. I arrived the afternoon before the interview. But the time difference for me was only 4 hours so it didn't bother me. I organised thru Monica to stay on afterwards, and spent 3 days running around checking it out. I know of others who spent atleast a week there. You can stay at the Cathay Hotel for around HK$600 per night if my memory serves me correctly,this is the cheapest you would find so make the most of the offer. You need to arrange to stay at the hotel prior to your arrival.

The interview days are rather full, however there are gaps for you to grap a bite to eat, or to retire to the room for a rest. I didn't leave the hotel and till after all the exercise were complete. I only had a small interview group and had finished by 1400 on the second day. The group a day before me finished at the completion of the cocktail night at around 9 pm.

If you can afford to stay after the interview I would recommend it. It is a good time to see Hong Kong and get a feel for the City. Must have a night out in Lan Kwai Fong... just don't :yuk: in the taxi on the way back to the hotel :ok:

Yeah your best bet is to go out downtown after the second day. We got done with the cocktail party at 7PM and took the train from Tung Chung at 8PM.

Just a word to those planning on a taxi back from LKF..EVERYTHING is negotiated in advance here.. Taxi form downtown 220-250 HKD no meter. If you're in Kowloon 150HKD. DO NOT GO BY METER.

hey guys,

Got a cadet 1st interview coming up in early may. wondering what advice/tips you can pass onto a fellow hopeful for anything in stage 1.
hows the aptitude test? i've heard from some that they're quite fun and others say its pretty hard. And the recognition of different planes...wondering which type of planes. all large commerical or any smaller types?
And its true that the more flying experience you have the harder the interview?
any help is greatly appreciated
