Does aviation software flight tools such as flight planning software, and Electronic Logbook software make a pilots tasks easier or more difficult?

Can anyone volunteer an answer?

Not an answer... just an opinion.

There are many applications designed for many different tasks, but where an application is designed to perform a specific known task well it will tend to be quicker once the user has learned how it works. All singing, all dancing applications may not.....

Try before you buy and ask around first.. always.

In other words simulate, or dry run before doing anything.

Well, I do have some aviation software, after trying one, there is always another which seems better than the last, and each claims to be better than the other.

I guess it all boils down to experience, and personal tastes.

But there are brand names out there, which makes such a decision easy.
