With the purchase of their new academy is there any chance of them returning to sponsoring cadets?

...Or just wishful thinking?! :ugh:

Why sponsor when you can make money out of the stream of hopefuls and skim off the good ones?

This is too true.
The word is that the training center is to cater mainly to Bristow Global operations, taking the best of the cadets that come through the school on their own tab. Vortex, or what ever it will be named will cater for the GOMEX operations.
However if you happen to be a "local" of one of the many remote areas (Not Wales or Scotland :{ but places like Egypt and Nigeria) that the 'Bristow Group' operates in you may get a sponsorship.

The last time I heared Bristows called Bristow was when Alan was at the helm.

What? It's never been called Bristows, other than by those who erroneously choose to do so.

Bristow....Bristows.....Bristow's.....whats in a name. So long as the word has commonality of definition effective communication can take place.

It seems we all know what was meant by "Bristows".

That being said, I suggest Bristow's can only refer to Bristow during the ownership by Mr. Bristow as one has suggested previously.

Now how can we argue the statement...."I flew for Bristow". Does that refer to the company when Bristow owned Bristow or would that have to be "Bristow's" to be correct?

Alan - who is this Alan I thought it was Eric Bristow;)

The Bristow S61s in the Falklands were nicknamed Erics so it must be Eric - though the Bristow Chief Pilot did get a bit grumpy if you called "visual with the Eric on final":E

I'll bet a ton that Alan never threw a dart as well as Eric.

You're all wrong - It's Bristow's (http://www.bristows-of-devon.co.uk/house/main.asp) - or am I just fudging the issue?

(Sorry, just noticed that SASless had covered all angles and included Bristow's - click on the link anyway and try one......)
