View Full Version : Firefox 2.0.0.3 "reluctant"?

Have just upgraded to Firefox 2.0.0.3 - and am finding that it sometimes seems "reluctant" to do anything when there are four or five concurrent tabs open. You can click on tabs till you're blue in the face - but nothing happens for up to a minute.
Has anyone else noticed/experienced this problem?
It's installed on a relatively new system running an AMD Athlon 64, 1Gb memory, and 320Gb disk - and it happens even when there aren't any other CPU intensive processes running.

Irritating! Am actually considering re-installing 1.5 (although support on that runs out - I think - on 27th April)

I'm currently running the new version of firefox but I haven't seen or had any problems with it, sometimes I have been known to have at least 7 different tabs open and can click to each with no problems at all.

Mine normally opens with 9 tabs open (my favourite 9 sites), and has no problem at all.

More diagnosis required, methinks.

We kept quiet despite knowing of your dalliance with Flyer of course Keef but having to share you with such a huge number of other tabs is almost too much to bear:{ :{ :ooh:

Ah well, PPT, you're more than welcome to some links... ;)

LICC (http://www.licc.org.uk/)

But the point is ... Firefox is quite happy to have them all open and tabbed. The header turns red if there's a change in any one of them, which is nifty.

Read the pink note on the right hand side of the page ;)

I'm not the webmaster any more - we got a willing volunteer to look after it.

I have had 2.0.0.3 crash quite often, in seemingly benign circumstances. Previous versions were more stable, to the point of being impossible to crash in my experience.

Currently running V3 alpha2 (Gran Paradiso) it's very stable, but there are very few add ons for it, just "no Script".
