I may be making this journey in July. If you have been, could you tell me what the service was like on a 12 hour flight etc.

Many thanks

Which Cabin buddy????

Two hot meals of down the back with mid flight snacks on the return sector!!!

Operated by a 777 of which none have been configured with the new Club cabins I dont think so therefore you prob wont have an AVOD IFE system yet.

The outbound flight schedule is only 10:00 hours, flight time likely to be 9:30 =/-10 minutes, so not quite as long as you think. Return scheduled at 10:50.

See you are in Man.

Flown half a dozen times MAN PEK over the last couple of years with KLM in business which is a helluva a lot cheaper than BA, roughly 1500 quid. Good connections and no complaints.

Used to do it in the mid 80's.

LHR to Rome, Bahrein, Hong Kong and then, having used up 2 sets of crew already, eventually on to Beijing. Then straight to a taxi, overnight train and then to work.:uhoh: Can't remeber anything about the service, the flight just seemed to go on for ever.

Eventually saw the light and got my licences. Now it's off to the hotel;)
