Jumpdrive, are you in India now?

If so, I am wondering how you find the experience. I fly to India from time to time and ocassionally hear a Latin American accent on the radios. As much as I really enjoy my layovers in India and the food there, I am always happy when I leave one or two days later.

I have one friend who is on a contract there for now for a year. I advised him against it, and he's going crazy (many people don't seem to last long, from what I have heard). Seems like a good place to go for short term-- maybe a maximum of 2 years for 90% of us, but after that. . . what do you do? Does a 35 year old guy really expect to stay in India for the next 25 to 30 years?!?!

I am wondering from the angle that if you are from a small Latin American country with limited aviation prospects. ie., if you are for example from COPA Airlines flying a 737 and their position is "if you leave us, you are not coming back?"

was in india, not anymore , and at least not for the near future
most of the latin accebt youll hear its most likelly colombians

the food i never liked it, not the indian,
in he hotels & my house it was always; tenderloin, prawns, pasta, fish&chips
never the indian, i tried it, but ^%$!%$#@ not for me

evrytime off i was desperate to get out
& frustrated evry time i go back in
it was realy depressing some times
people nice, sometimes slow, but nice
@ least nicer than much other places in Asia that i have been working
they are much more genuine

i think india is a place to be maybe, and again depending on contract
benefits regarding travel @ the most 3 years

as for copa, im not there, just know a couple of guys

& again evrybody has diff prospects in life,
for some its money , others location, some the aircraft their flying
som are happy to say they fly to miami all time...........f%$# that!
but.................theyre happy with that, & with theyre $2,3OO a month
they simply are!! thats the truth..........lets face it

ive still as of now receiving phone calls & email to go back to india
offering from $8,1OO to $1O,OOO..............but man
sometimes thats not evrything

at the end , theres nothing like home,
going out on sunday morning to buy fresh bread
or hang out with the buddies

me.................?..............im trying to make sense of all this
& opefully reach a balance in my life.......mid term , or long term
im mrried , with 2 kids, & sometimes its a hassle to be hopping arround
like ive been for the past 5 years

i wish all the best to all the collegues out there in theyre decicion making
its not easy.....................specially India..........
india its though its youre not reafdy to adapt to it
and if your lucky, then try to convince youre wife !!!!! ^&%^%#$%$
