I'm Chief Pilot of the parachute school at Dunkeswell in Devon.
I have 1200 hours an FAA CPL IR with ASEL & AMEL ratings.
We're about to start operating an 'N' reg King Air for para dropping.
I love the job and am committed there Thursday to Sunday.
Anyone know of any way I could get some ad hoc right hand seat biz jet work on some of the days I'm not para dropping out of the King Air?

Which bizjet type ratings do you have?

None yet. I can fly the King Air on my AMEL.
I'd be happy to go off and get a type rating if there was a strong enough probability of some work afterwards.

I think you need the JAR licence for Gama and LEA. Plenty N reg stuff around Luton, not sure how you could go about getting a seat, from my limited experience it usualy requires a contact in the company.

Remember on your FAA certificate you are going to have to go to a formal type rating course, even for Co-jo. So you are looking at spending $10K+ For a part time job???

I was also under the impression that you now need a type rating:confused:
