Hi there folks. I am trying to do a little research into my grandfather who did two tours on 44 Sqdn Lancasters during the war. He died when I was only 5 and I never got a chance to know him or hear anything about his flying during the war.
It is a bit of a long shot but I am trying to find someone who may have known him. I am well aware that it is pretty unlikely anyone of that vintage would be trawling the threads on pprune, however, in doing some research I discovered there is a 44 Sqdn group of former crews who still get together. Is there anyone here who used to be in 44 and goes to those reunions? If so are there any surviving servicemen from the war who you know of or that still go to reunions?

regards

You could apply to join the association as an associate member and meet WW2 members at the annual reunion.

It is a very friendly association.
