Hiya

Just wondering if anyone who knows about CAP371 and also cabin crew FDP's could help me with the following?

When taking the maximum allowable cabin crew FDP, this starts from your report time.

However where there seems to be a grey area is when its tight on your hours.

So my question is, can your FDP then be worked out on the flight deck report time, in this case, 15 minutes later?

Thanks

CAP 371 has many variables which are complicated to explain. From the details in your post the answer should be no you can't have your report time reduced to adapt your FDP to the planned duty to avoid going into discretion prior to departing from your home base.

Not sure if the duty you are referring to involves a change of flight crew as you have an extra hours duty on top of their FDP.

Your own report time should be used - not the flight decks.

However, since flight deck generally go out of hours 1 hour before crew do, it shouldn't ever effect you!
