Where is the closest place to the UK you can get a G V rating?

Probably CAE in Dubai or FSI in Wilmington, DE.

Whats wrong with CAE Dubai? - I've been there several times and always found it excellent...................

Did G550 rating in Savannah;excellent, @ that time Wilmington only FAA approved not JAR approved.2 students on my course had done GIV ratings at CAE Dubai & were appalled at the low standard,so beware.

Just enjoyed another recurrent on the 550 at FSI Wilmington (my first non Savannah trip)...they were good. Excellent sim guy (George Valuckas) and Ron Bauer really knows his groundschool.
Good thing at KSAV although is that you can go to the factory and see the real thing - also the wing in the mechanic school.
Wherever you go, 4 weeks is a l o n g time:ouch:
