Latest QANTAS CC changes

Just heard that QANTAS long haul will be converting 95 AKL base crew to BFirst and most of them are the new recruits.
Two of them on my last flight have only been flying for 5 months and have been given the BFirst position.

It will cause mayhem in the BFirst bidding ranks as the AKL crew will automatically have their trips assigned therefore reducing the amount of slots available to AUS based crew.
As there is no recruitment in AUS it will mean further deterioration of Bidding power!

Rumour has it that CSM's /CSS expressions of interest will open post Easter.

Whilst the loss of promotional opportunities and destinations for Australian based crew is lamentable there will be a massive sigh of relief from current onboard managers that they will no longer have to fly with the Kiwis......In particular those hundreds that have been recruited recently. :hmm:

One day there will be an exhibit at the Power House museum in Sydney.

It will consist of a mock aircraft interior with Australian crew....

People will say remember when we used to have Australians working for the airline!!!!
