For those thinking about KAL I will repeat something I posted on another (similar) thread:
On another aircraft type in the KAL fleet there were/are 5 agencies looking: Rishworth, CCL, GAP, EuroPacific and IAC.

Rishworth were the lowest payers per month albeit there was only USD $190.00 difference from highest to lowest, some provided a small ($3000) bonus, slight differences in how the agencies structured their T&C's so different agencies could be more appealing to each individual depending on their personal priorities.

Of course all the agencies provided "indicative" T&C's, come crunch time the actual contract could be the same or contain subtle (or not-so-subtle) variations.

Would be very surprised if only one agency was to be a sole provider for the 747.

Why not try the airlines in the gulf? As far as I know, airlines such as EK, and EY have T&C's far better than their asian counterparts

galdian no offense but I am positive you dont work at CAL. talk about changing the rules all the time. there will be a MASS exodus from here. and management wont care one bit all that will happen is rostering will go nuts for a few months.

compared to CAL (and EVA) it is a no brainer.

Someone said Rishworth for KAL, all I said that there will be other agencies as well so make sure you do your homework to GET THE BEST DEAL FOR YOU!
The only thing you did get right - indeed I do NOT work for CAL, EVA or KAL.
Just passing on info that might be of interest to some and probably f**k all to others.

Does the Korean CAA recognize the Taiwanese rating/ License? I know EVA pilots are not even given there original license to fly around with(they fly with photo copied one!!)Do they have to do the 747 rating again at Korean?

Can some one please post some factual information about Eva. That is first hand, not "I heard", "a friend told me", "rumour has it" or any other speculation. If things were that bad, I doubt anyone would continue to work for them at all.
Let`s start with the licensing?
Command endorsement or Co-pilot only?
Then what is the actual pay for an F/O on the freighter?
And please don`t tell me I should not work for them. I have read that 23 times on just about every other post on EVA AIR.

You do a First officer rating, and average pay per month is in the 5500-6000 US range. With the License you convert your ICAO one to Taiwanese one(do Air Law exam). For aussies commuting, its not a bad gig, only a 8 hour commute back to Brisbane. Apply via the website and come up for the interview, its good way for you to see the operation , and speak to currently employed Eva crew.

I do not mean to offend you but I got this information from a reliable source...

B747 F/o eva air

3,450 USD - 20% tax= 2,760 (50 hours),overtime 43$ per hour after the 50th hour,assuming 75 hours=1075$=3,835 net salary + per diem average is 750$..................

considering they are now converting 747s to freighter a friend told me they are flying now 65-70 hours per month...

5500-6000 is quite hard to achieve unless you fly 100 hours..and even if you do so :{ you will not reach 6000

Heard things are slowing up in NANKAN.......EVA has hiring freeze for rest of the year, and the company is not expanding, 2 xMD11 go to Shnaghai cargo , and 4 x747's been sold to UPS. Some expats not getting contracts renenewd either.......not good signs when the rest of asia carriers are boomimg.......time for new management
