Contract pilots in Aus

It seems a certain Westralian operator of Dutch jets is seeking rated F100 pilots on contract.

Does that imply there is really a shortage of suitable applicants in Australia, or just the western hemisphere? Conversely are they trying to import rated crew rather than train their own?

I thought they were after rated captains only as they aren't getting the numbers into to 100 fleet. Many 50 pilots electing to stay on the 50 for the better life style (even if lesser pay).

They have just put on 3 direct entry 100 F/Os due to the same reason above or F/Os being 'frozen' :{
