We've a new web cam showing the ramp outside our office at Essendon Airport, and able to be controlled remotely. Click here, (http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/) and in the menu at the bottom of the page, select "Camera".
No view to the South West (hangar in the way!), but otherwise fairly useful for real weather views :ok:

Great fun to play with, but, 30 seconds is just not enough!!!

BSB,
30 seconds should only be when others are queued to use the control: otherwise it will stay with you as long as you need
There are also three pre-sets available: RW27, RW17 thresholds, and the City, which are on the drop down menu at the bottom. Snap to is available by clicking the rectangular box above the camera control, which opens a panoramic view. Click anywhere on the pano to pan the camera.

Stay tuned because another airfield close to Melbourne will also have a user controllable webcam! Possibly a couple to choose from! The Internet link has just been upgraded to make it happen.

What an amazing toy. John, you haven't scrimped on the quality of the camera. Leaves other fixed webcams for dead. Excellent!....now if only I can get it to myself, I was enjoying a particularly nice sunset view of the CBD and some bugger stole the controls.

John,
Does the camera have an archive? I was tracking a Blackhawk doing touch and goes (if a Helo does that) at around 4pm today. Top camera. Well done.
Cheers
