Perferated Ear Drums

Hi - I was just wondering if anyone has any medical knowledge or personal experience of the recovery time from a perferated ear drum? I believe you can feel fine after a few days but how long should you leave it before returning to work as a commercial jet pilot? Many thanks in advance

Simple reply is when your AME tells you you are OK.Those that I know have taken between one and four month to heal.Sometimes a full recovery has happened other cases long term damage has resulted.
