Hiya,
Need some help as I'm new to this game. Can anybody tell me anything about Jetalliance such as their usual T&Cs. What are they like and do they pay on time & how much typically:confused:

Admittedly, if you're a F/O on an austrian contract, the salary is not very high. But the money is net, taxes and everything paid, 14 salaries p.y. with fairly decent austrian social benefits (medical, retirement etc...).
But for a G550 captain, the deal is on par with other european operators, much better than IJM for instance. The G550 (and C750/DA2000/Legacy also) operates with 4 pilots (2 Capt./2 F/O) on a 18/12 roster. You can plan on an average of 14-15 days at home each month. You live wherever you want in Europe and position on your first duty day and stay with the a/c for about 2 weeks, then back home.

IJM have just had a big pay increase due to exiting crew, plus gone to 2 weeks on 2 weeks off for Moscow GV crews.Jet Alliance nice to work for but low pay except for G550 Capt's.

Lets face it this way !
If it´s your only job offer, do it.
If you have something else going on, stay away from it.

You will enjoy the company, great aircraft, great crews...and Moscow is a great place to live.

Another good thing is that you move rapidly: FOs stay less than 6 month on the CJs then move to the XLS. After a year they regularly go to bigger planes i.e. Falcon 2000, Citation X, Legacy...

By the way transition to the XLS and the other TR are paid. For a new type rating you need to sign a 3 year bond, quite usual in the business...

Look at their website, they are looking for pilots...

Would someone please PM or post their T&C (medical, licence, pension), pay structure, benefits etc for Capts.

I fly big Airbuses at the moment and would like a lifestyle improvement (i.e quality time at home). Having said that, I don't mind being away if it guarantees time at home. What aircraft would you suggest to apply for please?

Thanks for your help

The problem with this company is, that the big money is made by selling aircraft and not operating them. I admit, it looks very professional when you go there and time to command is not very long either, ie 1500TT and a few hours on CJ's , but be aware !!!

The pay is very poor , on CJ about €1500 for F/O, they are very short of crews especially on bigger aircraft like Falcon, Legacy..., if you are lucky it's three of you, if unlucky only two !

They are forever talking about aircraft arriving, which mostly doesn't happen and if you do get on one of the bigger one's, be prepared to spend lots of time in Russia.

Yes , I have some personal experience with this guys.
No I'm not bitter I got a fab job earning more then three times the money I earned there!

Good Luck!

Could anyone give me some more detailed information on the Citation X operation? Roster, is 18/12, as stated here before, about correct? Pay? Basic, allowance? Can somebody confirm the rumour about 318s arriving?

Any info would be appreciated....feel free to PM me!

Having dealt with this group in the past it is definitely buyer beware.

T&Cs aren’t the best but they’re not the worst either. Their bonding scheme is archaic… still running three years, I was offered a TR with another mob on a medium for a 1 year commitment!

There are three fleet chief’s, Small / Medium & Large Cabin with very little interaction between each of the three. Being offered a position on one fleet does not necessarily mean that you have been cleared by the others.

The entry test is pretty straight forward, lots of ATPL and what if type questions. Sim is straight forward, Departure, Sid, Intercept, Climb, Descend, Hold, Approach, Go-around, track, Approach, try not to crash the landing….silly fixed base sim.

All new joiners for either seat be aware that there is a seniority policy in effect within the company so if you are thinking of a scheme to get you backside into the elite or ACJ, think again.

Rumour has it that the first two babybus have been on sold already anyway and that the first delivery are not until late 08 or early 09.

Sovereign slots have been filled internally, don’t know about the X, F2K or brazzzzzillinan!

Don’t ask me more, I don’t know the answers, I don’t work their but it is a very small world that new GAT!
