A very nice presentation of airlines no longer with us.

To the moderators, I do not believe that there is any advertising from this website, at least I hope not.

The music is very good.

I have to agree that it is indeed a very nice presentation. The descent of proud companies through an uncouth Darwinian struggle into bankruptcy and oblivion.

There are a few momentary clips showing DAL and NWA, both presently holding Darwin's engine at bay through obscure US bankruptcy laws allowing continued operation without paying the bills. To use the vernacular:go figure.

This, like many others, is now a mature industry with the best days behind it. A poignant ending. Whoever put it together had a sense of irony.

The fourth frame shows an aircraft with what appears to be snow on the fuselage and wing as it's being loaded. Perhaps the future CAL KEWR chief pilot waiting for the wind to blow it off. Or perhaps not.

Some of the older airlines have faded away, but some of the folks involved haven't.
I have worked with the ex-Dir Marketing of the original Laker Airways for a number of years now, and his advice is priceless.

That first slide show is amazing! So many of those airlines I miss so badly. Would have liked to have seen some Midway images, but maybe those were saved for the sequel!

This should be required viewing for anyone entering the aviation industry. Especially CEO's!
