Exactly, As with most guys I know who will agree, the training department in gfa and the experience has been one of the most negative and restrictive enviroments I have ever been involved with. It has improved over the years but subtle suggestions and visits to 'my door is always open Sanjay' have always been dissapointing, and have always fell on deaf ears.

If Sanjay resigned He did a gud move.
He can surely do a better job in a company which listens to professional people and not resorting to old ideas.

Gud luck Sanjay:ok:

i agree training here has some downsides for sure... but get real SS is probably the only guy who actually gives a **** and works to get it better. if u notice he is always there working late and never one to disappear when the **** hits the fan. so if u want to complain about people at gulf Air blame the people that have not allowed many of the expats to actually do what they were hired for. rome was not built in a day and was definetely not built with understaffed pist off people you could not keep here anyways!!!!!

Would have to agree with DesertHawk, there might be someone else who could possibly do it better (go ahead and apply), but nobody has stepped up to the plate or has been able to convince those to pick the managers to install them. It has been my own experience based on working in a number of different companies that there is no shortage of individuals who start a cockpit conversation with "If I were in charge, I would . . . . " only to finish the same conversation with " . . . well, I couldn't because I am busy, you know, I got family and all that . . ." Sanjay, besides being a gentleman aviator, pulls more than his own weight in his role.

In any case, glad to hear that this is just a "rumor." Trash bin time. :hmm:

For info.......Sanjay is cooking an Indian dish............after he got rid of couple of TRE ....now he sending an emails to some people.......hay all wake up and let's stop this BS:mad: , we have couple of CPT willing to join training , since he disregarding them, and instead sending a letter to someone who just finished his blue line in A320 Capt Alblushi. M (ex DHL), .......Sanjay my dear boy if this is happened we make sure that you will be out of office, caz this is against company regulation....check OMA........, :=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:= NO NO NO

Fatal Gulfy.SS is doing a hell of a good job in a320 .That post n GF is not an easy thing.
I assure you he never got rid of any TRE but they resigned due to the company red tape.
On the other hand if you intend to join training get your english right as nobody will be able to understand your reports to praise your colleagues.

hey fatal, are all your post just plain BS????

you act as if u run some kind of GF mafia.

"Sanjay my dear boy if this is happened we make sure that you will be out of office"

making a threat like this is complete rubbish considering your implications are not accurate!!!

is you believe SS is not doing a great job fine. bring it up send a letter to appropriate people or how about go see him and have a "mono e mono"

but as you said it.."we" or your cronies will just try to undermine him and in turn hurt the training department for everyone. FATAL I usually understand most peoples points but lately you are so off base and just plain ignorant!

I will huff and puff and blow your house down.
It is not very encouraging when a supposed "SNR TRE" does not know his own OMD and "all" its amendments.
Great CRM people, keep it up!!!!???

ironbutt57
12th Dec 2007, 01:24
Dont even have to know all the amendments, just the basic organization of the OM's.."senior TRE"...dont think so...the ones I know (and I know and have dealt with most of them) are all professionals, who if they had an issue with the 320 SFI selection, wold have taken it up with the appropriate office, not stabbed the MFT320 in the back here on the internet...try again FATAL....case closed!!

Hope it's a rumor cuz he is a good guy & does well with the tools that the company give him & as mentioned before nobody else wants to step up & do the job (except maybe a certain brown-nosing Candian F/O!?)

12th Dec 2007, 14:54
Canuck FO? Did you imply the Tech Pilot?

Now why on earth would anyone give up a great job of 'All perk and no work' to take a thankless job like that of the Training Manager?

SS is the face of maturity and sanity in recent times, the only thing that one could hold against him was lowering the ropes for our low CRM man to get his command (read that thread). But maybe he was asked to do so, with all the Bahraini pressure!

Of course he is dispensible, just like you and me, but the airline would be the bigger loser if he were to quit.

I applied for TRE?? mmmm..when?? In any event, several of us have been invited to qualify for re-instatement as 320 SFI's as per the OM-D, having previously been in training on another fleet..again provisions for this are clearly laid out in the OM-D..have a nice day, and please research your facts more thoroughly before making inciteful posts..have a nice day!!:ok:

IB

I think we all know that OM-D was recently amended to accomodate 767 trainers in airbus training.if you have any doubt then go through your old CDs and check old OM-D.

common practice at most airlines, once in the training dept. one may be fleet transferred to another type, then re-instated initially as SFI in our case, once the aeronautical experience requirements on type are met..and completed the selection process of course
