Hello all,
Im trying to trace some details about my late grandfather who worked
for Sir Sefton Brancker at the Air Ministry.
His name is Stanley Johnson and I know that he was involved in the
R101 Airship and was also based at Croydon Airport.
If anyone could please give me some direction as to where I could
find some information, then I would be very grateful.
Many thanks
Capt. Tango

This link http://www.aht.ndirect.co.uk/airships/r101/index.html might be useful.

You might like to read Neville Shute's autobiography, Slide Rule for getting the feel of the R100/R101 development years and testing.

Sir Peter Masefield has written a more recent book on the R101 called "To Ride the Storm". I can't comment on this book as I have yet to read it (if still available).
