Hello fellow pilots,

I’m considering applying for ATR 72 DE Captain position (I know the application deadline has passed).

I’m looking for a bit of info on MK ATR 72 operation, if anybody has any.
I did the search on MK, but couldn’t find the info I’m looking for. I know that the work conditions were not great on ATR about a year ago, and lot of pilots left the company.

Any changes, or is it still the same?
How is life in Mauritius over all (for a pilot with family)?
What about the cost of living, renting a house or an apartment?
If you fly for MK, are you happy with the work conditions?

Thanks in advance.

Watch out for the promices made, some have come here under the gise of being entry level captain and become very diselusioned. Life is okay for a married man, cost of living cheap but the locals think you are a bottomless pit of money when it comes to renting a place. The work conditions are not great. The pay is real poor.
