How does the flight crew reserve system for the US frieghter fleet work????

there are no lines of reserve on the freighter in the US.
If a flight cancels or very occassionaly you may be scheduled
for a reserve day. You have ten hours to get to your base.
You must answer the phone between 6am-2pm home base
time. There is only one freight flight a day out of JFK, so
the odds of being called are not very high.
You typically only fly 9-14 days a month as a freighter
f/o (not relief qualified).
