Hi,

To : All French NJ pilots, based in Paris.

I am a future NJ FO (INDOC in June)

1-Does anybody know some tricks to park his own car at Roissy CDG when working abroad for NJ ?
All parking facilities seem to be expensive at Roissy CDG !

2- During the first day of your roundtrip, are you always flying from Roissy CDG or also from Orly or Le Bourget ?

Thanks a lot

Your gateway is CDG, therefore you will be airlinning from CDG or may be sometimes depart directly from an FBO in Paris area BUT the company will arrange transport for you only FROM/TO your gateway. Example, you live in Pontoise; it happens to be there is a flight starting out of pontoise for your day one of the tour, the company will provide you a transport from CDG to Pontoise. If you decide by yourself to go to pontoise directly, when you finish your tour the company will bring you back to CDG NOT pontoise.

Long term car park or RER are the bests options finance wise, otherwise like everyone, that what your 70 euros are for, to cover the enroute journey expenses, that includes Parking, Toll, Fuel, food....:{

CL300 Hi,

Thank you for replying so promptly and so early in the morning !

If you are a French NJ pilot whose gateway is CDG, what do you personnaly prefer ? RER or car park ?
RER in pilot uniform may be uncomfortable and not appropriate for business aviation. Don't you think so ? However, it is cheap and on time, and avoid traffic jam ...
For long term carpark, I have found 8€/day + shuttle (10€x2)... quite expensive I think.

I know that per diems should pay all these expenses but I also think that it is normal to find the best solution to reduce as much as possible those expenses , to the benefit of our family and to maximize our monthly salary...

What is your best choice ?

Thanks CL300...

Park at the Contry Inn Hotel in Roissy (for free) and take the Hotel shuttle, which takes 5 -10 Min depending on yr Terminal

By the way,
CL300 and Yucan,
Have you already changed your contract into the new one (offshore / onshore) ?
- In the new one, NJ told me that we should pay National Insurance tax in the UK. I have heard that there is national agreements between Fr & UK concerning health care. We could benefit from French "sécurité sociale" after claiming form E106 in the UK. It is important because my wife doesn't work and I need social protection for my family...

Do you confirm what I say ? Do you know more about it ?

- Is there always possibility to have a pension saving plan with the new contract like in the old one ?

Many thanks to you.
