Thought the minimum requirement for FECA was 500 hrs TT 300 ME? Are they getting desperate?

theres a co in sharjah with 2 Dornier 228's. also a 1900 up in Ras Al Kaimah, and good old falcon, like coaster said u need 500TT/300 multi to be competitive.

FUNPILOT. which license do u have your Beech 1900 on?If you really want Falcon start making plans on how to get another 240 hours multi, and your total up to 500 TT.
Theres jobs in Africa where you dont need as much hours to fly right seat on a 1900.
cheers FM

I think there might also be a Indian or Paki outfit flying 1900's into UAE not sure if this is the one FM talked about in RAK but when I left Dubai they were starting up.

Not sure bout their reqs.

wind up alert..
dunno how one gets a 1900 type rating in UAE other than through FECA , so fun pilot would you care to explain how you got the UAE CPL with 1900 type on it...if I'm not mistaken you have to be employed by FECA first for DGCA to give you the 1900 type on your CPL...unless rules have changed in the last two years...
fm and coastie thoughts????

Hi All,

Having read this thread with interest, does anyone know where the best place is to complete a 1900 type rating?

thanks,

Hey funpilot,

Like FM says dude, to be competitive you need those hours. They already have a bunch of CVs at FECA with guys matching and exceeding the requirements. There's no job without the 500 TT 300 ME Im afraid. Just a question, if you live in the UAE and obviously were setting out to get a job at FECA, why did you get the 1900 rating before you met the hour requirements? Surely that money would have been better spent building hours. Just curious.

Theres a job in Gabon right now for DO228 F/o's, get your arse down there, u need to sign up to www.climbto350.com to send a CV.
Good advice from the Budgie, Dubai/ME is not the place for a break with your sorts of hours. Get down to Carrefour Dubai, get a back pack and tent and go see the world......and get those crucial hours.
Cheers FM
