Anyone know more about GD dropping the staff fuel surcharge later this week.

QF makes around $11million profit net fom its staff travel scheme.
This profit has however been declining as more and more QF staff use other carriers to ports that are serviced by QF.
ZED Fares are a good alternative.
The surcharge may come off to stimulate revenue.
Benevolent Dixon aint.

I recently heard staff from some other airlines (I heard SIA) get staff travel on Qantas services without paying the surcharge. Maybe somebody out there could confirm this.

QF staff can buy a ZED ticket to HKG for example, pay no fuel surcharge, use it on QF and save $100 over a QEA Y class fare! :)

The surcharge may come off to stimulate revenue.

Maybe if they had a website that those of us who have been retrenched could access they might get a few more dollars.
