I was with NJME for two years, i left around five months ago. There is sooo much **** i could tell you about them but the problem i am having now is that they owe me money.

For every year that you are employed you should get one month salary as a bonus. So when i resigned i was owed almost $5000 which to this day i have seen nothing of! I am constantly e-mailing them about this and there are always crap excuses why it isnt happening. Someone is on holiday, moving office etc..

Also, you get a company mobile when you join but you will never see a phonebill. So when you leave they use this "formula" to work out how much you owe them. Even though i had my own Saudi phone and UK phone for private calls they have charged me around $200 for every month i was on duty.

There are some good parts with the job but just be aware that they will always screw you in the end

4 other girls left at the same time as i did and none of us has been paid

Please let me know if you need any more info!

I'm a little out of date on the NJME thing. It's been a couple of years since I was involved in their interviews. I gather from some recent candidates that it's a general interview plus some 'what if?' scenarios and a simulated service.

The general work pattern is 35 on/31 off and the company airline you in and out. How much time you spend in country depends of course how much you fly.

Hi!
How is life without flying for NJME?? Hope, they send you the money in the end...?!! :hmm:
I applied for a job as a Flight Attendant with NJME and NAS informed me, that I will be invited for interview "soon" in the UK. As I do not want to bother them with too many questions before the interview... ;) , I was wondering, if you could tell me anything about the life of a NetJets ME F/A?!! Are you paid 100,-- USD per day, when you live in JED?? What is the basic salary?? Do you fly a lot... and with the same passengers most of the time?? Are you the only F/A on board or do you fly with another F/A together?? How is life in JED?? What did you like about the job, what didn't you like...??
Any info on where in the UK the interview will take place and when??
And how the interview process will be like??
I know, so many questions ...! I would be very grateful for any information, you can give me and I thank you sOOOOOOO much in advance... thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

NJME is growing and like any company there might be growing pains. Also remember that most of the stories you hear on here are from disgruntled former employees, whether they have reason to be or not. I believe it is one of the best companies around, especially with a 35/31 roster. It is also not run by NAS as such and maintains its own operations and identity.

Growing pains or mismanagement?

Also remember that most of the stories you hear on here are from disgruntled former employees

Why are they former employees? Why are they disgruntled?

I believe it is one of the best companies around,
Congratulations on getting the job, we look forward to reading your posts in a year or so :):)

Welcome to the sandpit.....

My reference to 'disgruntled employees' was not just with regard to NJME. But if a person asks for information on a company on PPrune, you inevitably find a whole hoard of ex employees writing all the things that went wrong for them, they never highlight the good parts of the company. I find it hard to believe after 15 years in the industry that every company bar a few that I have worked for are all bad. Every company is going to have issues that don't suit all their employees, it is a fine line of compromise between running a company for profit and running it to suit all your staff. Most of your experiences with any company or on any contract are what you make of them. Change the things you can, work around or adapt to the things you cant, and if it does not suit you, leave.
Mutt, thanks, and I am looking forward to returning to the sandpit.

Hi everyone!

I ve been invited too for the interview in London. I m allready nervous!

But I have many questions , not really about the job, but about the living in KSA.

Security is my first concern!
How safe/secure is living in KSA as a single european woman?.
I guess this is an issue that worries most of us.
Can we go shopping on our own , take taxies?...are relatives/boyfriends/husbands allowed to visit us?
How far does NJME cover its employees legally?

What happens if anyone brakes a religious rule without beeing aware of it?

Do the authorities have any concerns on this issues?

Thanks everyone

NAS and NJME recruitment is not the same thing.

A friend applied in London and got an interview about 2 days later, it only lasted the morning and then she said there was an afternoon group.
Couldn't tell you if they recruit in ME or any other locations, that you would have to ask them, but others I know have applied from there so maybe.
Wouldn't bother doing a sickie and just show up because you heard there was an interview day - they have an hour long aptitude test and obviously some kind of paperwork on the candidates in advance. If you've missed this round I can imagine there will be more.
Good Luck

I had the interview for NJME a few days ago. I've been hearing very scary stories about it. Things like they offer you certain job conditions and, once you're there, everything is completely different but you cannot leave because you have a 18-month bond with them.

I have heard that the $100/day per diem pay when you are in Jeddah is not actually everyday, but everyday you fly, which means, no fly=no $100. This is not what we were told in the interview. They said $100/day.

Also that story Camille posted about not being paid after end of service and being charged $200 per month on phone bills is very scary and very unprofessional.

All these things are difficult to believe coming from such a well reputed company as NJME but, if I am finally offered the job, I would really like to know EVERYTHING before I sign because it would be a disaster if all these things were true. One has bills to pay...

So, please, please, please, if anybody is currently working for NJME, please, clarify these issues for me, and for some other colleagues who, I know for a fact, wonder the same as I do.

Thanks.
