Just been watching it, not sure I will be upgrading yet though, think I will need to upgrade my computer first anyway. Looks good though.

I'm almost embarrassed at having mentioned it!

All that ghastly marketing with the moronic WOW! - already get irritated by people who do that.

I thought it might have gone into a bit more detail on the product and a bit less on the people involved.

Not that I plan to touch Vista - even if 'Bill' gave me an autographed copy.

Thanks for the original post, I wasn't aware of the programme and made a point of watching it.

All the 'wow' hype etc got completely up my nose I have to say.

I'll try and avoid the new product for as long as possible, although I suspect that if any of us wish to remain on a 'windows' platform eventually we will have to sign up.

I speak as one who in 1970 saw a colour television in a pub and stated that I never thought the purchase of one could make economical sense - what was wrong with B & W I asked? I wasn't going to have a 'land line' phone ever either I might add!

Sadly with at least 11 versions of vista currently on the market people are going to be confused as to which to buy.

Sadly Microsoft are not being quite upfront with the pubic on vista and it's much vaunted features as all but 5 of them are not fully implemented in the Home version and are only fully implimented when you arrive at the Enterprise version which makes Vista for the Home user much less a new operating system and more a warmed over version of XP pro for which a lot of the so called new features contained in the 'Full' version of Vista have been available as add-on/tryouts for Xp for a long time now.

Vista, while being attractive to the 'Must have Brigade' is in fact for the average home user a marketing ploy by Microsoft and a lot of people in the computing community have stated that they will stay with XP at least untill Microsoft withdraw support.

In addition to:-

Ryan Naraine: Microsoft's Patch Tuesday train had a full load: 12 bulletins with patches for at least 20 vulnerabilities in a wide range of widely used software products. Six of the 12 bulletins are rated "critical."

ZDnet also claims that Vista may have a design flaw.
