Who has to carry their manual around with them anymore? If not - where is your reference - do you have copy of Part E on a company intranet? On CD's given out?
What other stuff do you carry around....do you have PA books, Service Guidelines Books.....what else?

PM me if you like.........and thanks for your input !

In BA literally the only thing we have to have with us is our passports and service waistcoat!!! Anything after that is just personal requirements.
Copies of our FCO's etc are available in the flightdeck should we require them!

At UAL we are required to carry our inflight manual ( a copy of war and peace would be lighter reading!) as well as a working flashlight ( torch). After that I suppose everything is optional except my sudoku!!

We are required to lug around our manuals. It's huge! And has constant revisions we are also required to keep current. I believe I've only had a few occasions to consult it and then only to check out the required paperwork for International arrivals.

Seems far more sensible and economical to just have one installed onboard.

At easyjet we are required to carry our money wallets, ice tongs, hi-vis and calculator. As well as a PA book, passport, permit to remove steps forms, and landing cards for the UK and France anything else is up to you. (pursers have to carry a sterling and euro float). at the moment we dont have trolley bags either so its all in an over the shoulder bag. We are getting bags with wheels back in March.

We are advised to overnight stuff as well but many crew don't as night stops are very rare, i've never had one in over a years worth of flying for them!!:)

At XL it`s our SEP manual, ice tongs, oven gloves, torch, pens, night stop kit, passport.

I usually have the odd magazine too for when I`m downroute, or an overnight across the atlantic.

Seniors have money wallets, PA booklets and first aid kits.
