Had a mate call from a minesite i used to work at.

He told me a Skippers conquest went off the end of the runway, think it was last Friday, half drunk when he told me.:eek:

Did a search here and couldnt find anything, unless im going blind of course.

Any truth in what he said?

I heard the same.

Been kept very very quite.... they seem to be good at that!

I wouldn't be surprise if we hear more such stories in the future with the massive drop in experience over there and some disturbing stories of "training" going on over there....

I also heard the same from an ex Skippers employee (I know, plenty of them).

Does anyone have any details.

There was a report in the newspaper recently of an aircraft suffering 'brake failure' at the Koolyanobing airstrip.
What really got up my nose was the statement from the female Constable based at Southern Cross. I can't find the article now but it basically said that the incident should serve as a reminder to all pilots to conduct thorough pre-flight checks. WTF!!?!:ugh: :ugh: :yuk:

Everyone knows the Police are an authority on all matters aviation. :}
I though tyou would know that better than most TQ :eek: :}
and you know we have a mutual mate that is all knowing on these matters. :}
So, all you pilots, take heed of the police when they make usefull statements like the Southern cross crew. (most of them wouldn't know their ass from their elbow most of the time.) :}
