I'm looking for some corporate drivers to give me their opinions on the best headsets for jets. I currently fly a Westwind, but am upgrading to a Gulfstream 150 and we're looking to get rid of our Bose X headsets.

I dont want the standard David Clark or Bose headsets, rather the ones that are ANR and go in your ear as opposed to on your ear.

Any suggestions? Im sick of the vice clamp headphones that hurt when you wear a hat or sunglasses.....:ugh:

I recently bought a Telex ANR850 as a result of positive reponses I received on this site from other users. The headset is light, comfortable, and possibly unique in that the ANR function is powered by the microphone voltage and therefore has no batteries.

So far I have used it on a Gulfstream-II which is a very noisy aircraft and found it improved the reception and external noise enormously. I have also used it on a G-IV which is a quieter bird than the II, but with the same impressive result.

I would thoroughly recommend this headset which sells in the US for about $400.

Hope this helps you.
