I believe the aircraft operating this service (B717) was unable to uplift any baggage out of ZNE due to the ambient conditions (still 41 degrees at 1850)...That's right, all the pax arrived in PER with no baggage....oh dear!

Arrive in Perth without bags
OR
Spend Friday night in Newman
I know what I would rather do :}
It's always going to be a problem unless QANTAS decide to up the thrust on the 717's.
I know it's hard telling pax the flt is "full" and when they get on there are 10-15 empty seats but that's the way QF are running it (and it's their call)

Who cares... this happens every year with places like NWN... short RWY, very hot etc etc... QF dont care, the pax have no other options.

Hark back to the TN days and the LST OOL nonstops using the venerable DC9-30s.

Traffic staff would hand out baggage irregularity forms before the flight rolled on a full ship. That way they could hand them in at OOLBBTN and not be delayed on arrival.

The bags would stagger in later in the day and be delivered to their accommodation.

Best all
