Just noticed a flight tonigt on the 340 (training) with a captai that has an empl num begining wit 202. Have GF started hiring DE captains again???

I believe the gentleman in question is heavily involved with the training department and redesigning the training program for the Airbus fleet.

Mr. HS is definitely no NEW DEC at GFA.
He joined as a DEC on the 737 many years ago. Apparently, all the CAPTs. that wish to continue flying after 60 years of age have to sign a new contract, which leads to a new Staff Number. This also happened to former B767 CP, Mr. RPC.
On the other hand, the last two DECs on B767 Fleet have their names on the GFA Pilots Seniority list now, instead of being on the GFA TEMPORARY Pilots Seniority List.
Not shure if that`s a mistake or if these gentlemen have been given open-ended contracts. Anyway, when they came, a/HOFO promised they would be here for one year only... Well, even the greek gentlemen on A340 have been around for 3 years now, in contrast with a 8-months "temporary" contract proposed by former HOFO, Mr. RH.

PM aka "Maverick" is alive and well here at GF who knows where he is headed...we are all headed somewhere in life..
