Google Earth to blame, but wasting time today I saw what looks like a couple of Constellations parked up here;-
32°24'42.12"N 111°13'25.88"W
It would seem that the ailerons have been removed as a start to scrapping?

It's Avra Valley where the Dutch Connie was prepared for its delivery to Amsterdam, and I think Vern Raeburn's Connie also lived? Vern's is now in a Korean museum. Interesting collection opf propliners there.
Also appears to be 9 A-4s by the hangar. Looked at the Local Live image (http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=32.411614~-111.219106&style=a&lvl=17&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7861867&sp=Point.shz5g3gw6fhw_Anna%20Valley%2c%20Hampshire%2c%20Engl and%2c%20United%20Kingdom___~Point.pd1r8t5qyk0w_Avra%20Valle y%20Airport%20%28airport%29%2c%20Arizona%2c%20United%20State s___)for the same airfield - seems to be a very old photo indeed comapred to Google's!

Wow! Just noticed that Local Live's bird eye view (http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=32.411587~-111.219047&style=o&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7861697)works for Avra Valley - the 749 Connie is indeed Vern Raeburn's MATS Connie, while the L1049 does look rather worse for wear, but not a gonner by any means. Wonder when it was taken though must be three or four years probably...

while the L1049 does look rather worse for wear, but not a gonner by any means. Wonder when it was taken though must be three or four years probably...It's the one-time Swiss Constellation Group's N105CF. Restoration was started but found to be impossible due to corrosion etc. (they went for the ex-Camarillo one instead). It won't fly again. Said he who has never been wrong about that sort of thing before :O .

Ah, forgot about that one. I saw the Camarillo one at - wait for it - Camarillo along with another 1049/C-121 (N548GF?) a few years ago. Nice to see the old banger, er, sorry, girl at Duxford a couple of years ago, hope she can grace another UK show soon!
