I need to travel around the US (out of LAX) in the near future and was wondering how the jumpseat system in the US works for us CX employees? Not very well is the response I expect but I have read that certain airlines like Southwest are accommodating. I will of course have the trusty, or not so trusty, old ID90 as backup!

Do I need to list beforehand? Have a ticket of some sort? What documents to carry with me?

Could anybody who has done this pass on the "vol8?"

Thanks Gents, wish me luck.

Before 9/11 your chances were good. Not so good now I'm afraid.

Time to get Mr. NICK RHODES to get a formal jumpseat agreement with the rest of the free world.

Oh wait, nevermind!

Why don't you buy a ticket like the rest of us plebs.

You can use a One World pass on American! Its higher priority than ID90 etc. They are available on One World Partner airlines. Pretty good deal and tons of flights from LAX! Have fun!

Thanks for taking the time to help out.

I never knew about the Oneworld pass. Looks like the way to go seeing as though I am not on a tight schedule.:ok:

unfortunately each airline will have a different policy. A friend of mine does ID 90s. and full fairs every once in a while out of LAX. Best of luck.
