That still shows up on the register as a DHC-1 registered to Rojet Aviation Sandringham Victoria.

Notice that the list of available registration marks has increased somewhat since CASA applied a $65 fee to reserve a mark !

Seems that a lot of marks have been 'sat on' for many years - and probably because there was no charge.

I think you will find that the available list has grown due to all the aircraft deregistered for non compliance with the part 47 fiasco. :hmm:

Desert it were a PA-31-350 when I knew it.
Would a lot of 30 year old Chieftans have been scrapped?

Cant remember if that was the one with the busted rear spar that rolled one way on final when you lowered flap due to wing twist.........:hmm:

Tinpis,

WGI was destroyed in an accident at Launceston several years ago (c. 1990?) - visual circling in the dark off an instrument approach. "Private" op as part of a footy team end of season trip. Not a good situation all round.

Was WGI one of the old Williams aircraft out of PF?

On a similar note, what happened to the 402 that used to be RGK? I see that rego now belongs to a cropduster somewhere out west I think.
Anyone know if the former RGK the 402 is still around?

Thank you Smithy.
A sad end indeed.Amen:(
tlf yes it was a Williams a/c.When new it was fitted out with all the bells and whistles of the day F/D system etc.
Someone would know , did WGK end up on its guts one dark night on the Ayre peninsular?:uhoh:

Why scrap the new ones and not the old ones?
