Anybody know what is happening at Lagos based airline Afrijet Airlines these days ?

I have not heard from Berry Noelle for some time though have read an article stating that the company is looking to expand both regionally and internationally (767, MD-83 etc).

Also....any news on Dr. Harold Demurren (Noelle's MD at Afrijet) who became head of the NCAA or something ? If you have met him he is quite a colourful character.

Demuren at NCAA is one of the reasons we are changing our minds about NGA aviation industry and begining to think of risking investing.
Has been instrumental at getting difficult with no aviation background ministers he has worked with,getting things that needed sorting sorted,while being machiavellian enough to make it look like its the ministers idea.

Afrijet according to the grapevine has something going with air italia.not sure of the details but rumours have it that the airline is trying to be run cheaply,and is not keeping to targets like start up dates and proposed scheduled flights.Just like GIA.
