Hi i am new in the forum and i am glad to be a member.Anyway i am finishing school in greece in about a year and a half and i have chosen to do my flight training with FTA and then convert my licenses.The reason i want to go to Australia is because i am a australian citizen.Has anyone been there or have oppinions about the school?please post your messages

Its a great school, but i think you could find a cheaper school with frozen Atpl in Australia.
Why I say so, its becuase you are coming back to Europe to convert anyway.
So try to find a cheaper school.

Because i have no information about the cost ...how much is it?
I wanted to ask you if i do a ATPL theory in australia will i have to do another atpl theory when i come back for conversion?

Yes ...If you have to convert the Atpl too!
The costs can vary between 60000 to 80000 .
Of course it all deppends on you self,, how fast you learn and how motivated you are.
Try to do a Aviation Degree....UNISA is a good university!

I am just going to go for PPL ME IR CPL and then come back and do the rest

IR is not cheap in Europe..

If your an Australian and are looking for a JAA Licence why not look at the Western Australian Aviation College. Do Flight and Ground school training for both JAA and Australian licences.

AFTC is one of the cheaper schools in South Australia, and Adelaide is one of the cheapest capital cities to live in.
On what Fabbe_Far said - before you take that advice, try to track down ex-UNISA students from the past few years and IF they have had any industry experience since then - they will tell you it was a waste of time and a money makin' machine :yuk: .
If you want a degree - maybe do engineering, science or management - but don't do it with Australia's 3rd worst UNI. (I did that course and it is laughable, and from what I have heard, it still is :D )

Why dont you stay in Greece, and then convert to Aus fATPL after if you want. Saves a lot of time and money on exams. Believe Greece is one of the more favorable countries to do JAA training. A school advertises on this site, which I have heard is quite cheap compared to other JAA countries...
Just my thoughts.
