CX BNE Base ?

Hi There

Just wanted to see how many people from CX are based in Brisbane?

I see that they list BNE as a base, as i know that there are people based in both MEL and SYD. For those that are based in BNE, what fleet are you on? What are you rosters like etc...

Just wanted to see how many people from CX are based in Brisbane?Mate there are around 20 guys based in BNE - split evenly between CN and FO. Everyone there is on the Airbus. Rosters are much the same as any other Oz base with some BNE-CNS-HKG-BNE trips, and some longer layovers in HKG. Every now and again you could expect a A340 trip to maintain currency on that aircraft - as it's only the 330 that goes into BNE. Not unusual to go out of currency on the 340 tho'.

The other thing to add is that you have to sell your grandmother into slavery in order to get a BNE base. We have a lot of people who want to go there, and it's one of the smaller bases. In other words, you'll be in HK for a while before you will have the seniority to get to BNE.
