With a trivial ankle injury, I found myself in the next bed to a guy from RAF Gibralter who had broken his leg. He was struggling to get a plane back, and when I left just before Christmas he was still trying to negotiate his way home to his (pregnant) wife and family. If he's reading, or anyone who knows him is reading, thanks for the chat and I hope you got back OK.
