Hi all,
I am planning a holiday for next year and need to fly from San Francisco to Orlando. Most of the flights options seem to involve 1 stop at a US hub, I've never transferred flights before, is it relatively easy and pain-free? The cheapest option at the moment seems to be to fly Delta via Atlanta.
Any advice appreciated, thanks!

US domestic connections are generally a piece of cake. At most 'hubs' you never have to leave the secure area and often the gates are close to each other.
One bit of advice is to book a longer connecting time than the so-called 'best' one; - gives you a bit of leeway for delays etc. Anything under 4 hours is still a legal connection and often (but not always) a bit cheaper too.
Atlanta is an easy hub, assuming no thunderstorms :uhoh: . Personally I avoid Denver, Chicago ORD and New York (JFK) due to both weather and layout.

Thanks for the advice, I currently am planning to have a connecting time of 1hr 26 mins. Is this enough do you think?
